Damsel Quest (Pre-Alpha 3 Re-Release)

HOW TO PLAY:

Step 1: Download and install the latest version of the game engine from here: love2d.org/

Step 2: Download the game itself from here: www.mediafire.com/file/ycb8l2t…

Step 3: Open the game as you would any other program. Enjoy!

CONTROLS:

To navigate through the dungeon, use arrow or WASD keys, or click on the left, right, and center portions of the screen.

These also control the inventory and puzzle board screens.

Press "I" to bring up the inventory while in the dungeon.

Press "Escape" to pause.

Press "R" to reset the puzzle board during battle (use if no matches are available)

Press "Y" to start or stop a battle at any time (for testing purposes)

Press "M" to mute/unmute the game

NOTABLE CHANGES:

(The cloth item has been removed for this version, but will be restored in the next.)

Battle
- Tiles now drop as in games such as Bejeweled
- Rather than matching three item tiles, items are now matched with their corresponding gem colors to use. For example, an item with a green background can be matched with itself or the green gems. Identical items with different background colors can not be matched, however.
- The columns of the board will become unavailable as Rachel gets more restrained. These columns will be darkened to indicate that they cannot be swapped or used in matches.
- Bondage/gag items will always do damage to HP, regardless if they add visual layers.
- Scissors no longer heal HP, but are still useful for restoring locked columns.

Other Additions
- Basic dungeon crawling has been added. Moving around the dungeon will sometimes trigger random battles to begin.
- Added inventory screen. This can be brought up while dungeon crawling, allowing the player to equip which items they wish to bring into the next battle. Each item can be placed in multiple slots.
- Added "Game Over" and "Victory!" screens following battles
- Added elves and drows as enemies
- Added bras, new panty styles, and new armor
- Wider variety of features for enemies, including freckles
- Two colors for tape: tan and white

Let me know if any of you have issues/bugs. For those with driver problems, the current plan is to work on a version 3.1 to fix these, as I will need to revert to a previous version of LÖVE. But for now, I wanted to test out the new game features to make sure they are working for everyone else.
